8 Million Liters Campaign "Water for Gaza" - Zakat is permissible

Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, the Israeli occupation has deliberately bombed water stations to deepen the suffering of the displaced who survived the bombing.

Now, the remaining stations are witnessing an unprecedented daily overcrowding of displaced people who aspire to fill small gallons of water to save them from dying of thirst. To do so, they walk long distances on foot and wait for hours until they can provide limited quantities of water.

On the Day of Arafah, the best of days, we aim to provide 8,000,000 water tanks to the displaced people of Gaza in 21 locations ranging from hospitals - shelter camps - displaced people in tents - and refugee schools.

The first phase: Covering the areas' water needs for a period of 6 months, including:

Distributing 1,000 water tankers, each containing 8,000 liters of water.

• Value of the tanker: 90 KD.

• Cost of one liter: only 12 fils.

• Cost of 1,000 liters: 12 KD.
