More than 100,000 Muslims live in the Italian city of Milan, spreading the teachings of Islam and its tolerance of coexistence between cultures and religions. For them, the mosque is not just a place of worship; it is a social and cultural center where Muslims gather to pray, exchange knowledge, and connect with the rest of the local community. Today, we are opening the door to reaping endless rewards, God willing, through the project to build an integrated Islamic center for Muslims in Milan. Project objectives: • Building bridges of understanding and cooperation between different communities. • Providing a safe and suitable space for worship, language learning, and learning about the local culture. • Contributing to promoting peaceful coexistence and understanding between Muslims and the rest of the community. • Following up on new Muslims and seeking recognition of Islam by the Italian Republic. • Teaching Muslims about their religion and raising them in faith and morals. Project details: Demolition of an old building and construction of a mosque for Muslims in its place, with support from the Municipality of Milan. Project Components The mosque accommodates 1,800 worshippers. The center consists of an Arabic language and Quran school with a capacity of 170 male and female students, a conference and lecture hall for introducing Islam, two halls for young men and women, and a separate area for women, a public library, administrative offices, a translation office, a guard shelter, a kitchen, and a basement for parking. The property area is 1,500 square meters.
