Past Project
A great opportunity to double the rewards during the holy month of Ramadan, by feeding the hungry, breaking the fast of the fasting, and relieving the distressed in Gaza. Today we embark on a new charitable journey that aims to break the fast of the fasting people who suffer from food shortages and depend on aid to combat hunger. Details of the project of the International Islamic Charitable Organization for Iftar in Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan 1446 AH - 2025 AD: Providing 30,000 Iftar meals during the holy month of Ramadan, at a rate of 1000 meals per day. Each meal consists of: (250gm rice + chicken, fish or meat as available + dates) Meal cost 1.500 KD, enough for one person Feeding food is one of the best righteous deeds and the most beloved to Allah Almighty, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that bring joy to a Muslim, or that relieve him of distress, or that drive away hunger from him, or that pay off his debt” (Sahih al-Jami’). Providing breakfast for those who are fasting has a great reward. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever provides breakfast for a fasting person will have a reward like his, without it detracting from the fasting person’s reward in the slightest.” Zakat is permissible for the project
