Approximately 4.5 million Yemenis suffer from various disabilities: motor, mental, or a disability in one of the senses. Estimates of the number of people with disabilities in Yemen are more than 3.7 million, most of whom are physically disabled.

Taiz governorate is one of the most affected governorates. Within 6 years, the events caused various injuries and disabilities to 40,000 individuals, including:

- 758 missing in the upper and lower extremities

- 38 cases of amputation above the knee joint, in need of rehabilitation with physiotherapy and prosthetic limbs.

- The number of amputees in Yemen in recent years alone is estimated at more than 2,900 people, in addition to the previous numbers.

- 6,200 autistic children who have been reached, in addition to congenital intellectual disabilities such as Mongolian autism (Down) and cerebral sclerosis, for a number of more than 13,400 cases.

- The absence of physiotherapy services after strokes, which is estimated at an average of 2000 cases annually, in addition to traffic accidents and others.

The center is located in Taiz Governorate, where it is easily accessible from inside and outside the governorate to obtain medical services, which include 7 main units:

Prosthetics unit (guaranteed KD 98,770)

Radiology unit and pharmacy (guaranteed KD 35,664)

Pediatric Physiotherapy Unit

Thermal treatment unit

Movement therapy unit

Electrotherapy unit

The number of beneficiaries from the medical center is estimated at 6,000 patients annually
