Water pollution is one of the main causes of disease and death in the world, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, where about more than 40% of the population lives in areas where clean water is extremely scarce, where people are forced to go to far places to get water, and this is usually the responsibility of the woman who goes out to search for water on an almost daily basis.

The well is dug to the water level under the rock layer to a specific depth, and is equipped with an electric/manual pump to draw water.
