The Lasting Good Deeds

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Among the things that will befall the believer of his deeds and good deeds after his death are knowledge that he taught and spread, a righteous son he left behind, a Qur’an that he inherited, a mosque that he built, a house for a wayfarer he built, a river that he ran, or alms that he gave out of his money in his health and life.” It catches up with him after his death.”
