Orphans of Gaza between the bitterness of loss and the harshness of life In Gaza, where the fires of aggression do not go out, the destruction leaves behind thousands of orphaned children who have lost one or both of their parents. Their numbers are estimated at between 15 and 25 thousand orphans, in light of the escalating crises that tear apart the family and the social fabric. They are in dire need of shelter, food, and clean water, amidst a painful reality that forces them to face life alone. In the blessed month of Ramadan, where the opportunities for goodness multiply, we remember the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "I and the sponsor of an orphan will be in Paradise like this," and he pointed with his index and middle fingers. From this standpoint, the Balad Al Khair Association is launching the "Sand" campaign in cooperation with the Dawa Al Yada team, to sponsor 200 orphans in its first phase, at a cost of 360 KD annually for each orphan.
