"Zakat.. Blessing of Ramadan"

"Disbursing Zakat brings blessings during the days of the month of Ramadan, so hasten to disburse it. Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) delivering a sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage, saying: 'Fear Allah, your Lord, perform the five daily prayers, fast during your month, pay the Zakat on your wealth, and obey those in authority over you, and you will enter the paradise of your Lord.' The value of Zakat is 2.5% of annual savings, and it is obligatory for every Muslim, male or female. With the help of Allah, we ensure that Zakat is disbursed through legitimate channels."
